Included staying out in the country at Uncle Willy and Aunt Donna’ farm. Some of my fondest memories will be cherished and missed.
Willard Lee Sprowl, 86 of West Lafayette, peacefully passed away at 9:10 pm Wednesday February 15,
2023 at his residence. He was born June 9, 1936 in Tompkinsville, KY to the late Millard and Madie
Johnson Sprowl. He was a graduate of Delphi High School. He served with the US Marine Corps from
1958 to 1962. His marriage was November 17, 1962 at Otterbein to Donna Doner and she survives.
Willard was a sheet metal mechanic and later a supervisor at Purdue University in the metal shop,
serving there for 34 years. He loved watching old westerns, and sports; especially college basketball and
professional baseball his favorite team the Chicago White Sox.
Surviving with his beloved wife of sixty years are his children Scott (Cheryl) Sprowl of West Lafayette,
Michelle (David) White of West Lafayette, Kristen (Greg) Hardebeck of Earl Park, and Kurt Sprowl of
Otterbein, 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers
and a sister.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday February 19, 2023 at the Funeral Chapel at Tippecanoe
Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to a charity of your choice in his memorial.
