    Although we did not know each other that much I was blessed with getting to know him the little I do know him bye working with him through the labors local Union out on the wind farms was a pretty good guy down to earth cared about his family and was a hard worker wish I would have gotten to know him a little better as we are distant cousins but like they say our time here on earth is short and nobody realizes how short till it’s to late sending my prayers to his children and the family sincerely James letson

Wayman Devon Thomas Jr, 51, of Lafayette passed away in his home on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. He was born on January 2, 1970 in Lafayette, IN to the late Brenda L Ravenscraft and Wayman Devon Thomas Sr. Devon held an associates degree and worked for the local Laborer’s International Union for 10 years prior to his passing.

Devon was an artist at heart. He enjoyed painting, drawing, and sculpting. Perhaps his greatest works were choppers he built out of toilet paper rolls- He even attached small LED headlights and taillights. He won the Outstanding Fighter Award in the Golden Gloves competition. 

Devon leaves behind son Colton (Sabyl) Spear of Morgantown, IN; Son Noah Thomas of Lafayette, Daughter Sereniti Thomas of Lafayette, grandchildren: Brooklyn, Karsyn, and Huxley, brothers James (Kayla) and Richard (Heather) Glaze of Lafayette, Uncle Terry Thomas Lafayette, Aunt Angela Thomas of Murphysboro, TN, and grandmother Onita Thomas of Murphysboro. Also surviving are cousins Zach, Sam, Nathan, Keelin, Chad, Tracey, Jamey, Madison, Patrick, Nick, Miranda, Adriene, and Tayeton. Devon is preceded in death by sister Brandi R. Thomas, mother Brenda Ravenscraft, Cousin Jacob Thomas, grandmother Phyllis Ravenscraft, and nephew Jordan Scott Thomas.

Visitation will be held at the Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Chapel of Faith on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 12 PM with services immediately following at 2PM.

Tippecanoe Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting with the arrangements.
