Thomas Wayne Mitchell, 55 of Lafayette passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 5,2021. He was born November 29,1965 in Lafayette to J. Cliffton and Patricia Reynolds Mitchell and they survive. His marriage was to Laura Grieves in Lafayette and she preceded him in death on May 8,1988.
Thomas was a metal inspector for Arconic (formerly Alcoa) in Lafayette. He enjoyed animals, golf and occasional bowling.
Surviving with his parents are a son Joshua Mitchell of FL, a granddaughter Josie Rose Mitchell, a sister Melissa (Harold) Peacock of Lafayette, and two brothers Robert (Jo) Mitchell of Romney and Norman Mitchell of Attica also surviving is Rhonda Lambert Mitchell whom he married in 1994. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Almost Home Animal Shelter of Lafayette.
