I knew Ron from First United Methodist church. He always had a smile and willing to help. We volunteered together with the Food Finders Backpack program at FUMC. He was a joy to be with.
To my loving brother. He had many struggles during his life. We now are thankful he won’t be struggling any more. We oved him and will miss him so much.

Ronald Carson Howell, 78, of Valpraiso, IN, passed away July 12, 2022, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, in Hobart, IN. He was born on June 13, 1944 in Flora, IN to the late Aubrey Carson Howell and Evelyn Louise (Blything) Howell. Ronald worked for much of his life as a lab technician and later as a clerk for Home Hospital in Lafayette. Ronald loved nature and had many joys in life. Ronald enjoyed hiking, fishing, and loved animals- especially his cats, whom he cared for very much. Ronald is survived by his daughter, Amber Howell; as well as his sister, Christina LeFevre. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services for Ronald will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, in West Lafayette IN; with visitation from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., prior to service. Burial to follow on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 11:00 am at Rest Haven Memorial Park. In Lafayette, IN. Memorial contributions may be made in Ronald’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org
