**UPDATE** A Memorial Service will be held for Norman F. Baer on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Congress Street United Methodist Church in Lafayette.  Norm passed away on December 29, 2020.  Visitation begins at 1:30 with the service at 2:00 p.m.  The service will also be streamed live on the church’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/evolvingfollowers/).  At the time of this publication, masks were still required for in-person gatherings at the church. Norman F. Baer, Lafayette, passed away on December 29, 2020. He was born on December 5, 1927 to Ara C. and E. pearl Jones Baer in Lafayette, IN. Norman had just celebrated his 93rd birthday.

Norman graduated from Round Grove High School and attended Indiana Business College. After business college, he served in the Army Air Corp.

On May 2, 1948 Norman married Mary Jane Swanson who survives. Together they had four daughters: Donna Kraft, Deanna Schetzsle (Charles Stallworth), Denise (James) Hodson, and Doreen Henle. They have  11 grandchildren and  12 great grandchildren. A sister Ardeth Baer Smith Crisswell also survives.

Norman Retired from Purdue University where he worked as an electrical estimator for 35 years. He  was an avid fan of Purdue football, Purdue basketball, and The Chicago Cubs.

Norman was a lifelong member of Congress Street United Methodist Church where he served as a head usher for many years. He enjoyed Photography, playing dart ball, and bowling. Norman and Mary Jane loved Camping and travel. They have even traveled to all 50 states and  11 foreign countries.

A memorial service will be held sometime in the future. Norman will be buried at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette. Memorial gifts may be made to Food Finders Food Bank, Inc. (www.food-finders.org)
