Marilyn J. Balser, 86 of Lafayette, passed away at Franciscan East Hospital on Wednesday May 18, 2022.
She was born in Monon, IN on October 31,1935 to the late Raymond E. Balser; Mary Leach Clark. Her
marriage was October 9,1952 to Junior Balser, he survives. Marilyn was a self-employed house cleaner.
She was a member of Schuyler Ave. Wesleyan Church. Marilyn loved the outdoors, gardening and bird
watching. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as
jokester with an active sense of humor.
Surviving with her husband of almost 70 years are her children Mike (Jetta) Balser, Lafayette, Dave
(Sherri) Balser, Lafayette, Keith Balser, Lafayette, Rick (Sally) Balser of Brookston, Jerry (Celeste) Balser,
Casselberry, FL, Cindy Fox (Bob Scott) of Lafayette, several grandchildren and numerous great and great-
great grandchildren and a brother “Toots” Clark of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by a daughter
Linda Hart and 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
The family will have a celebration of Marilyn’s life at the funeral chapel at Tippecanoe Memory
Gardens on Saturday May 21st from noon until 3pm. Memorial contributions in memory of Marilyn may
be made to the American Cancer Society. Those who wish may attend virtually by going to Zoom.us
