Dad Poem
Dad you left too soon, way way too soon
Why did you leave Dad? My days are now sad
Why didn’t you stay a tad?
I know your health was very bad
But you were my dad, all I had
I miss you so much, this is such.
Though I know God knows what is best
And he has put you through many test
But now he called you home to take a rest
Dad your soul is gone, I can’t even call you on the phone
I will miss joking and laughing with you
Now I’m down and out feeling very blue
Dad I know that I truly love you. 💘
I hope your friends and family met you at the Heavenly gate
Hope now you have your wings and able to soar
Like Heavenly angels flying with their wings
Living it up like queens and kings
Please come back and visit me when you can
I know you were a good father and a good man
Just know that I was one of your biggest fan
Never let go always hold onto my hands
Life is a journey, this is true
Dad remember I love you!

Sometimes I wonder what I would say if we had just one more day. Would I tell you the news from home? Ask about where you now Roam? Would I tell you all the things left Unsaid? The guilt and regrets still in my head? Would I want to know that you are, okay? Beg you please to come back and stay? Would I not say that Much? And just reach out for one last touch? I do not know what I would say but I do sure wish for that one more day.
