Jack, you will be missed by a lot of people. Thank you for taking the time to help me when we were RC racing and for a lot of laughs at the same time. I really enjoyed painting RC car/truck bodies for you too. The “Capt Jack Racing” livery was one people always knew when they saw it on the track. Orange and light blue. Jack T. Bell, 72, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Jack was a life-long resident of Lafayette and was born on January 25, 1950 to Ted and Bernice (Crane) Bell. Jack graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and was employed at LaFevre Automotive for 35 years as a mechanic. He married the love of his life, Terrie Lynn (Sharp) Bell in 1983 and was married for 40 years. Jack loved everything dealing with cars; inside and out. He loved NASCAR and raced modified midget cars.
Jack is survived by his wife, Terrie, of Lafayette, Indiana, daughters; Kathy Bell and companion Michael Cardwell of Fairbanks, Indiana, and Kim Armes of Lafayette, Indiana. Brother, Bill Bell and wife Carolyn of Lafayette, Indiana and three grandchildren; Danielle Hill with husband Adam of Indianapolis, Indiana, Angela Cardwell also of Indianapolis, Indiana and Brock Armes of Lafayette, Indiana.
Services for Jack are scheduled for Monday, January 16th at 11:00 AM at the mausoleum committal chapel, 1200 Sagamore Parkway, North, Lafayette, Indiana 47904. Fond memories and condolences can be shared on tippecanoememorygardens.com
