Gladys Thelma Blevins, 90, of Fishers passed away at Fishers,IN on Saturday November 17th after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  She was born July 17,1928 in Boreing, KY to the late Roy and Nettie Smith and was the eldest of 5 children. Gladys married James Blevins in Oxford in 1955 and he preceded in death in 1984.

Gladys was an avid cook and baker, she loved taking care of others and most of all was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Gladys is survived by two daughters Jennifer Gail Blevins of Fishers, and Barbara Sue (Charles) Traviolia of Rural Carroll County. Five grandchildren Adam Gregory (Megan) Blevins of Atlanta, GA, Amy Elizabeth Burger of Lafayette, Amber Sue Kincaid of rural Carroll County, Delanie Kent of Indianapolis and Alexandria Watson of Indianapolis, 5 great-grandchildren William (Billy) J. Lawson Blevins, Gunnar J.G. Blevins, Peyton E.Blevins, Colton J. Blevins, and Ashton S. Moffatt. Also surviving is a brother Thurston (Opal) Smith of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her son James Gregory Blevins, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday November 24th in the main chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, burial will follow.  Friends may call from 11am until the time of services.
