There are no words to adequately describe the impact that Estill has had on my life and the lives of many others for the Jesus and the Kingdom of God. He was much more than just the facts that can be recalled of his life – he was a joyful and unexpected passionate lover and follower of Jesus. His delightful, suddenly and intensely fierce love for Jesus and people brought hope, faith, and love to many. I was with him on the way to the White House when he stopped for something much more important – he led a person on the street to meet and accept his ‘sweet Jesus.’ In the middle of uncertainty Estill was a place of shelter, safety and security – He knew Jesus and gave us hugs of love. He is now doing what he loved best – worshipping Jesus covered with His Presence and glory. Our hearts are mixed with rejoicing for his graduation and prayers for the temporary separation felt by friends and family. Many Blessings, Tony and Nancy Hunter.

Dr. Estill Bruce Maddox, age 69, stepped into heaven on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. He was an ordained minister who served the worldwide Church as an apostle, teacher, prophet, and evangelist. Estill was born on May 1, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky. The third of four children to Estill Troy and Fosteen Casey Maddox, he attended Butler High School in Louisville, Kentucky. Saved during the Jesus Movement, he joined Teen Challenge and pursued full-time ministry. He loved to study and teach the Word of God and carried a passion for the lost. Estill loved to laugh and make others laugh; he had a great sense of timing for jokes and a wonderful sense of humor. He was never in a hurry and never met a stranger. He lived his life for the Lord and never stopped sharing about Jesus. He had many talents, one of them being a very high IQ – whatever he heard or read, he would remember it. His connections, and work was varied and took him around the world. In 1982, he founded his own ministry called Renewal Ministries. He worked with organizations such as CBN ministries, Promise Keepers, GUM ministries, WMC Denomination, Coach Bill McCarney, and others, built training centers in the 10-40 window, led crusades and conferences worldwide, and served on the prayer team during the Brownsville Revival. His medical training saw him working with the WHO as an OB-GYN and setting up clinics in third world countries. His counseling qualifications opened doors for him to assist the country of Kenya in writing their sex-trafficking laws and to set up counseling agencies for those freed. Estill earned, with honors, a Doctor of Theology, Doctor of Divinity, two Ph.Ds. in Counseling Psychology, D.O. and an N.M.D. He was a Special Advisor to the Board of Regents of three universities and President of the International Association of Pastoral Psychologists. He was ordained as a Messianic Rabbi in 1998 (assisting in the Red Heifer Project in Israel). He was knighted in the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller. He was an author, a worshiper, a conference speaker, a church planter, and a consultant. Estill was preceded in death by his father, Estill Troy Maddox, his mother, Fosteen Casey Maddox and sister, Lisa Marie Scott. He is survived by his bride of nine years, Irene Maddox; his three children, Christopher Neal (Shannon) Maddox, Joshua Brian (Kelly) Maddox, Sarah Michelle Maddox (fiancé Luke Puckett); his siblings Patricia Ann (William) Pierce, Troy Wayne Maddox; five grandchildren; his three step-sons Sampson (Kelcey) Best, Jr., Patrick Best, Gilbert Best; and numerous other relatives. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Tippecanoe Memorial Gardens, 1718 W 350 N, W Lafayette, Indiana 47906 (corner of Morehouse Road and Kalberer), at 1:00 pm, to be followed by a celebration service at White Horse Christian Center, 1780 Cumberland Avenue, W Lafayette, Indiana 47906 at 2:00 p.m.
