Deborah Jean Giesler-Million, 69, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 27th at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.
Debbie was born August 13, 1951 at 11:50p.m. in Jasper Indiana, to the late Charles and Rita Bullock Giesler. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in June of 1969. On November 27th, 2004, Debbie married Tom Million in Las Vegas, Nevada. They celebrated their marriage at the Rivera Casino. They have enjoyed 17-year wonderful years of marriage together.
Debbie had a fulfilling career with Nucor Steel and have a never-ending passion to serve all of her customers that she encountered while working, in the sales department. She retired in March of 2018.
Debbie’s favorite way to pass a summer day, was by tending to her beautiful flowers and spacious garden. She loved fishing with Tom on their yearly trips to Minnesota. She also enjoyed watching the wide variety of wildlife, that meandered through their back yard. Travel was also a large part of her life. She enjoyed numerous trips to Las Vegas with Cox’s Pub and Friends. She also adored spending time with her grandchildren and loved to have fish fry’s and entertain. She was also a proud member of the La Societe de Femme of the 40 & 8.
Surviving along with her husband are son Nate VanWinkle of Lafayette, daughter Kim VanWinkle-Bower of Attica, son Kyle Shackleferd (wife Sasha) of Lafayette, Step-son Dustin Paul Million (wife Laura) of Indianapolis, step-daughter Erica Marie Reeder (husband Paul) of Lafayette, sister-in-law Susan Thomas (husband Gerald) of West Lafayette, sister-in-law Linda Lefrak (Jim Anderson) of Oakland, CA, sister Lisa Wilber (husband Jim) of Ellettsville, brother Chuck Giesler of Crawfordsville, brother Mike Giesler of Lafayette, brother Brian Giesler (wife Jane) of Dayton, and 10 grandchildren. Along with serval nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her mom Rita Bullock Giesler, dad Charles Giesler, and brother Gary Giesler.

Private family ceremony are going to be held at Federated Church at 11a.m. and services will be held at 11:30a.m. On Thursday April 1st. (Reverend Melissa Smith officiating) Address is 2400 Sycamore Lane West Lafayette, In 47906. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Tippecanoe Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest at a later date.
