Mom and Shirley were great friends. Mom said that they had decided to start drinking their coffee black. They enjoyed it with sugar and milk. Mom said that Shirley was able to do it, but mom couldn’t give up the milk in her coffee. I have many great memories of coming to Lafayette and visiting as a child. I remember thinking that Lafayette was sooo big. We would have a lot of fun whenever we would come. Shirley had a great laugh. I am so grateful that my dad and sister were able to come and visit the summer before covid. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Shirley will be very missed. Love to all!!
