Percy Lee Driver Sr, 65, of Lafayette, IN was found deceased on May 1, 2021 after being missing since December 2020. He was born on February 3, 1956 in Canton, Mississippi to the late Walter Driver and Annie Lee Frazier. Though he grew up in Mississippi, his family relocated to Gary Indiana before he moved to Lafayette to seek out a better life for himself. While in Lafayette, he met Joyce Delois Moffitt, who survives, and married her in 1977.
Percy is survived by children Mary Lynn Driver and Percy Driver Jr, both of Lafayette. Grandchildren Brianna, Mariel, Markayla, and a new blessing on the way. Also surviving are sisters Queen Williams of Lafayette, Mattie Sistruck of Gary, Shirley Stidman of Georgia, Hattie Johnson of Lafayette, and Geraldine Cadwallader of Lafayette; brothers Leon Frazier of Lafayette, Jesse Scales of Lafayette, and Eugene Clay of Chicago. He will greatly be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Percy was preceded in death by sister Katie Ford, and sister Waddell O’Neil.
Private family visitation /celebration from 12noon-3pm on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Victorious Believers International Ministries located at 1201 Main St, Lafayette, IN 47905.
Visitation/celebration is open to the public from 4pm-6pm on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Victorious Believers International Ministries located at 1201 Main St, Lafayette, IN 47905. Services will be immediately following.
A Celebration of Life and balloon release will be held on Friday May 28th, 2021 from 3pm-5pm at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN. Family, friends, and the public are all welcome to attend.
Tippecanoe Memory Gardens and Tippecanoe Funeral and Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
