Madora Dene (Bowsher) Purdy

Madora Dene (Bowsher) Purdy, 93, of Lafayette, peacefully entered into rest in her home, May 15th, 2022. She was born to James and Edna Bowsher on August 12th, 1928. Madora worked for General Telephone for many years. After retirement, she spent her time bowling, doing puzzles, and cooking for her family. Madora is survived by her two sons; Jim and Mike (Mernelia) Purdy, one sister; Imogene Moore, six grandchildren; Jimmy Purdy, Tia Purdy, Kenneth Johnson, Shane Brooks, Trexie (Tanner) Rudd, and Trichelle Wolfs, and one great-grandson; Theodore Rudd. Preceded in death by her husband Richard Purdy (1986). Visitation will be held at Rest Haven Memorial in Lafayette, IN on Monday, May 23rd from 12 – 2 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm.
