Gregory Dean Wimberly, 71, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on April 27, 2022. He was born on September 30, 1950, in Vincennes, IN, to Gordon Wimberly and Anna Lee (Mayo) Wimberly. After completing his education, he worked as a service technician assisting with appliance and service repairs. Gregory lived his life as he wanted, enjoying golf in his early years, fishing, and loved being outdoors.
Gregory is survived by his son, Jason (Maureen) Amberg of Pittsboro, NC; daughter, Trisha (Mark Smith) Wimberly of Oceanside, CA; son, Trevor (Jamie) Wimberly of West Allis, WI; his brother, Allen (Lynn) Wimberly of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Justin Amberg, Megan Cook, Presley Pearson, Sloan Smith, and Grayson Smith; one great-granddaughter Remington Cook; and his brother-in-law, Jerry Mercer of Lafayette, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Mercer.
