Diane Estelle Stombaugh

Diane Estelle Stombaugh, 81 of Lafayette passed away at 2:20 am on December 24,2020 at St. Mary’s
Healthcare Center in Lafayette. She was born January 13,1939 in Lafayette to the late Bernard E. and
Doris C. Haley Neubauer. She was a 1957 graduate of Monitor High School. Her marriage was on
November 25,1966 to Francis Stombaugh he preceded her in death November 1,2017.
Diane was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and the Red Hat Ladies. She formerly owned and operated
Small Kingdom Day Care in Lafayette.
Surviving are her children Jerry Stombaugh of Rockville, Kelly Stombaugh of Lafayette, Theresa (Richard)
Rogers of Lafayette, Eric Stombaugh of Lafayette, IN and Beth (Jay ) Hook of Harrisburg, VA.
Grandchildren Wendy Stombaugh of MI, Chris Stombaugh of Lafayette, Seth Stombaugh of Lafayette, Ty
Rogers of West Hills, CA, Jenna Stombaugh of Normal, IL, Wyatt Hook of Harrisburg, VA, and great-
grandchildren Kiersten, Dalton and Leighla. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Cindy Neubauer of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, a half sister and two grandchildren Brent Stombaugh and
Sarah Rogers.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at a later date in the summer of 2021. Memorial contributions
may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
