Darline Hazel Rish, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2024.
She was born on July 21, 1930. Darline was the daughter of Charles and Hilda Faulk. On August 27, 1949, she married the love of her life, Donald Rish, and together they shared 59 beautiful years of marriage until his passing in 2008.
Darline’s life was a testament to love, family, and simple joys. She had a remarkable green thumb and loved spending time in her garden. Her culinary skills were well known, and she found great joy in cooking for her loved ones, the mailman, and her doctors at the Cancer Center. Thursdays were a special highlight, as she enjoyed having tacos with her grandchildren.
Above all, Darline loved her family. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Darline’s kindness, warmth, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Darline is survived by children Dixie (Jeff) Peery, Darla Bright, Donald Rish, Daniel Rish, and Dea (Joe) Campbell; siblings Mildred Joan and Sandy; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Darline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald Rish, daughter Debbie Haupthof, granddaughter Amy Jo Poling, ten siblings, and sons-in-law John Haupthof and Ray Bright.
Family and friends may call from 12 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel of Serenity.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel of Serenity, 11201 S Marion Rd 35, Marion, Indiana 46952.
