Clarence W Jenkins Jr, 81 of Lafayette passed away Monday 24th, 2018. He was in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born May 11th 1937 in Dixon Springs, TN to the late Clarence Sr and Alma Swindle Jenkins. At the age 3 his family relocated to Lafayette, IN. Jr. joined and served with the United States Navy from 1954-1958. On December 24,1970 at Lafayette he married Janice Hoover, she survives.

He was a avid member with both the 40&8, AMVETS post 79 and the American Legion. Jr. was an over the road truck driver and later retired from the Indiana Veterans Home. Jr’s activities included wood working, which included building the gazebo at the Indiana Veterans Home. Playing cards, vacationing and camping. Above everything else Jr. was at his happiest spending time with family and friends.

Also surviving with his wife Janice are his children Don (Teresa) Tressler of Versailles, KY,  CD (Kara) Hullinger of San Jose, CA, Deborah (Keith) Hamilton-Nelson of West Lafayette, Clarence “Wes” (Lottie) Jenkins III of Dayton. Grandchildren Joshua (Danielle) Jacob, Kaleb (Samantha) Liam, Aubrey

Jessica (Dan) Sara (Richard), Deven, Adam (Mindy) Paris, Bear (Katie), and 5 great grandchildren.

Also Nephews Clayton (Christina) Parker, Butch (Gina) Parker and Niece Joy (Tony) Alvarez

He was preceded in death by his sisters Imogene Wilson, Claudine Parker, niece Ganelle Kendall, and his companion Scooter the Pug.

Memorial services with military rite will be Saturday December 29th at 2pm at Chapel of Faith at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, friends may call from noon until time of services.
